This in-person childbirth education class helps expecting parents understand the natural physiology of labor, birth, and postpartum recovery. Learn the stages of labor, comfort and coping techniques, partner support strategies, postpartum healing traditions and breastfeeding basics from a licensed midwife, so you feel confident and prepared for birth in any setting.

❋ Preparing for Labor

We’ll learn how to recognize the signs of labor at each stage, and how to support your body during the early and active phases.

❋ Gentle Birthing

We will explore what causes an urge to push, how to reduce risk of tearing, and what to expect in the first moments after birth.

❋ Postpartum Recovery

We’ll talk about how to properly rest and nourish your body after birth, special tips for difficult recoveries, and how to support your newly blooming self as you care for your baby.

❋ Breastfeeding Support

We talk about the benefits of breastmilk for newborns, several ways to feed your baby, and examples of tips for managing milk supply. We’ll also review several common challenges, and tips for overcoming them.
